 Machinist Tool Boxes – Finished Brown Oak – Wall 1

This Machinist Tool Box is made of Oak and has a medium brown stain. It has a detachable front cover, top hinged lid, 6 small drawers and 2 wide drawers. Dual locking pins hold the front cover in place when the lid is closed. 

It is a remarkable piece of traditional cabinetry, hand-made by a master craftsman. 

How to calculate the value of this ? It represents about 50 hours of labour from a master carpenter, who bills $50 per hour. –$2500 for a box? Not a realistic price. But if you wanted to hire someone to build it, that would be the cost.

Picture “Wall 1 Finished Oak MTB – 0081” shows the most accurate colour. The other images look lighter than it really is. With brass fittings and dovetail joints its a really beautiful work of art.
