Machinist Tool Boxes – Golden Oak – Router bits

Wall 1 Finished Oak

Machinist Tool Boxes – Wall 3-1 – Golden Oak

This Machinist Tool Box is made of Oak and has a golden brown stain. It has a detachable front cover, top hinged lid, 6 small drawers and 2 wide drawers. Dual locking pins hold the front cover in place when the lid is closed.

It is a remarkable piece of traditional cabinetry, hand-made by a master craftsman.

How to calculate the value of this ? It represents about 50 hours of labour from a master carpenter, who bills $50 per hour. –$2500 for a box? Not a realistic price. But if you wanted to hire someone to build it, that would be the cost.

See images below. – Most of the contents in the drawers are included.

This is the same design as the “Wall 1 Finished Oak MTB” , however the drawers have green felt and the front cover has a small knob. The color is a golden brown that showcases the beautiful wood grain.  With brass fittings and dovetail joints it’s a really beautiful work of art.
